Founder Story

Ocean State Styles was founded in 2024 by John Rooney—Rhode Island born and bred—who combined his business background with his sister’s design talent to build a brand that feels honest, coastal, and calm. John is a proud disability-owned entrepreneur (spinal cord injury) and an MBA-educated leader who believes great basics should spark passion and a sense of connection—to a place, a community, and your everyday life.
